Okay, BlenderChar is gone. Here's why.

In January 2004, after neglecting the site for quite a while, I updated all the tutorials for the new GUI in Blender 2.30, and posted on Elysiun asking for more stuff to put on the site. Nobody contributed anything. So now, nearly two years later, I've gradually realized that there's almost nothing useful here anymore that isn't available somewhere else.

There are a few links and "tips and tricks", which aren't nearly interesting or extensive enough to have a website devoted to them.

Hos's lipsync tutorial is hopelessly out of date.

Lyubomir's hand and foot rigging tutorials have been in the official Blender documentation for quite a long time now.

That leaves Lyubomir's Pixar eyes tutorial, Michael Thoenes's cartoon eyes tutorial, and Lyubomir's Blendo model.

So, I've moved the Pixar eye tutorial to the Blender 3D Noob to Pro wikibook (which deserves to have more people working on it, I think a Wiki is the best place for documentation on a program that changes as often as Blender does). The cartoon eyes tutorial and the Blendo model, I'll let someone else deal with. It might be nice if someone rerigged Blendo now anyway, with the new 2.40 armature features.

So there you have it. Not such a big deal.
